The route

The Hua Hin to Koh Chang transfer is a long private door-to-door journey of roughly 450 km, linking the Gulf-coast beach towns with the island of Koh Chang — including the car-ferry crossing, which is part of the fixed price. Your driver collects you at your Hua Hin or Cha-am hotel and stays with you all the way to your island hotel, coordinating the ferry so you simply ride across. A private car turns a trip that otherwise means several changes through Bangkok into one comfortable ride.

Questions travellers ask
Is the car ferry included?
Yes. The vehicle-ferry ticket to Koh Chang is included in the quoted price — you stay in the car for the short crossing and there is nothing extra to pay at the pier.
How long is the journey?
About 7 hours in total from Hua Hin to Koh Chang, including the ferry, depending on traffic and crossing times.
Which vehicle should I choose?
A Sedan seats up to 3 passengers (5,990 ฿), an SUV up to 4 (6,600 ฿), a Minivan up to 6 (7,700 ฿) and a Minibus up to 10 (8,400 ฿). Tell us your group size and bags and we’ll confirm the right fit.
Do I pay anything in advance?
No. You pay the driver on the day. There is no deposit and no card needed to reserve.
Can you drop me on the mainland instead of on the island?
Yes. If you’d rather stop at Trat town, Laem Ngop, or the Ao Thammachat (Centre Point) ferry pier — to overnight or continue separately — just tell us when booking. Because the car ferry isn’t used, we take 500 ฿ off the fare for any vehicle class. It’s the same amount we refund if we ever miss the last ferry for a reason outside your control, so you’re never charged for a delay.
What if I’m actually heading to Koh Mak or Koh Kood?
No problem, and no separate booking needed. Those islands have no car ferry — passenger boats only — so your driver drops you at the mainland pier: Laem Ngop for Koh Mak (500 ฿ off this fare) or Laem Sok for Koh Kood (200 ฿ off). You buy the boat ticket separately at the pier; tell us your island when booking and we’ll confirm the adjusted price.
What are the Koh Chang ferry hours — and what if we arrive after the last ferry?
⛴ The Koh Chang car ferry runs roughly 06:00–18:30 (the ticket desk closes around 18:00 and the last ferry leaves about 18:30). Your ferry ticket is included and we coordinate the timing — just plan your pickup so we reach the pier before the last crossing. If your flight or schedule means arriving after the ferry has stopped for the night, we can arrange a private wooden boat across for 4,000 ฿ — so a late arrival never leaves you stranded on the mainland.
How do I book a transfer?
Send your date, time, route, number of passengers and luggage by WhatsApp or email. We reply with a written confirmation naming your driver — usually within a couple of hours.
Which payment methods do you accept?
You pay the driver directly on the day, in cash (Thai baht preferred). No card details, deposit or prepayment are needed to reserve.
Can you provide a child or baby seat?
Yes. Baby and booster seats are available on request for a small add-on per seat — just tell us your children’s ages when you book. Child seats aren’t required by Thai law, so it’s entirely your choice; we’re glad to fit them if you’d like the extra peace of mind.
How much luggage can I bring?
Each vehicle class has a luggage limit tied to its passenger count. Tell us your bag count when booking and we assign the right vehicle — a sedan suits a couple with standard cases; larger groups take an SUV, minivan or minibus.
Will I get the exact vehicle model I booked?
You always get at least the class you booked — and sometimes better. When it suits our schedule we may send a larger or higher-class vehicle (for example a minivan or minibus in place of a sedan) at no extra charge and without prior notice. You are never downgraded, and the price never changes.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Yes. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup; within 24 hours a 20% fee applies, because by then your driver has set the day aside and turned down other work. In all honesty this runs on trust — nothing is prepaid, so the fee is a matter of good faith, not something we chase. If a driver has held the day for you, we simply ask that you do right by them. Delays or emergencies beyond your control are always penalty-free — just message us as early as you can. A no-show — no one at the pickup and no word from you — is charged 100% of the fare.
Do the drivers speak English?
Our drivers handle the essentials in English, and our booking team communicates fully in English, French and German before and during your trip.
Is the price per vehicle or per person?
The quoted price is per vehicle, not per person — the whole car is yours. It already includes tolls and, on island routes, the vehicle-ferry ticket.
